Postpartum Herbs are easy to use. Follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Infuse. Place one herb bundle in a heat-proof glass or steel container or a teapot. Pour 3 cups boiling water over herb bundle, cover, and steep until cool. Squeeze bundle to extract as much liquid as possible, then compost or discard. Store any unused infusion in a glass jar in the refrigerator for later use.

Step 2: Use. Choose from the options below. Better yet, try all three!

Peri Bottle: Transfer your cooled infusion to a sterilized squirt or spray bottle. Spritz onto your post-birth bottom every time you visit the bathroom.
Sitz Bath: Add 1 cup of infusion to a shallow basin of water. Add additional water as needed to raise the level of the basin adequately, then soak bottom as desired.
“Padsicles”: Pour cooled infusion over overnight-sized menstrual pads. Lay saturated pads flat on a baking sheet and freeze. Store in freezer in a zip bag, and use postpartum as needed.
