After kicking every other conventional housekeeping & skincare product to the curb, we still had a nasty-but-necessary plastic spray bottle lurking under the sink: toxic laundry stain pre-treater.

What's a messy family to do? Invent our own alternative, of course.

We replaced that stinky bottle with a healthy, great-smelling, and–yes!–non-toxic alternative. Laundry stains don't stand a chance.

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients: saponified oils of *coconut and *olive; sea salt, white clay, and lemon essential oil. *organic ingredient Packaged in a biodegradable, recyclable paperboard tube.

DIRECTIONS

To use: Remove stain stick from storage tube. Moisten stain stick (or laundry item), and rub stick vigorously over stained area. Rub fabric to fabric to loosen tough stains. Let item sit for a few minutes, then launder as usual. Test on an inconspicuous area for color-fastness first. Not for use on delicate fabrics.

For oily, set, or stubborn stains: Prep stained area as above, then use a soft bristle brush (like an old toothbrush) to gently cleanse stained area. Wash and repeat if necessary, line-drying between each washing to prevent further setting of the stain.
